“Dear John’s” Extends the Lease to 2023

The original plan was to close in April of 2021, but when the world closed in March of 2020, that calendar shifted. The Citrin/Rockenwagner partnership that revamped the classic steakhouse “Dear John’s” has announced that they will be staying open for another year.

The iconic martinis, the table-side caesar salad presentation, and of course, the signature steaks, will all be staying at the small red building at the corner of Culver and Sepulveda through April of 2023. The restaurant and bar will offer a cocktail special, a Singapore Sling-inspired drink called the One Year Extension, to celebrate.

Dear John’s is open from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesday to Saturday.

  1. I have been a customer at Dear John’s since 1971–to about 2020 when I couldn’t get out like I used to. The food has always been great. I enjoyed seeing the new food (yummy) and the new look. Will be considering have food delivered. Do not tear Dear John’s down. They will just build something ughly, like many of the new places in Culver City.
