Legal non-profit Bet Tzedek will be partnering with the Culver City Action Network to present a Renter’s Rights workshop online on Feb. 22, 2022.
Bet Tzedek’s mission focuses on providing crucial help to those in need who cannot afford the services of an attorney. “Even though free legal aid helps ensure access to justice and basic necessities for the most vulnerable among us, there is not enough legal aid available: for every legal aid attorney in California, there are more than 8,000 eligible clients who need assistance. Bet Tzedek is a non-profit law firm committed to addressing this challenge. We provide free, comprehensive legal assistance and representation, volunteer and court-based self-help services, and legal education to more than 90,000 people each year.”
The topics to be discussed will include Culver City Rent Control and Tenant Protections, Eviction Process Overview
State Rental Assistance Program, State Law Protections for Nonpayment Evictions, and all current LA County Emergency COVID-19 Protections. There will also be time scheduled for questions and answers.
