Please join the Culver City Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department as we gather in person to celebrate and honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
The program will include a welcome from Culver City Mayor, Dr. Daniel Lee, andan invocation and guided meditation with Rev. Dr. Frances Wattman Rosenau of the Culver City Presbyterian Church. Actor Gerald C. Rivers will perform a collection of speeches by Dr. King based on the theme of Erasing Racism, in addition to various musical performances which will include traditional African American Spirituals.
Refreshments will be offered, and everyone will have the opportunity to chat and mingle. All community members are invited to participate. No RSVP necessary.
In order to protect public health and safety, proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required to enter City facilities. Public Health continues to require everyone to wear a well-fitting mask in City buildings, regardless of vaccination status.
There is plentiful free and accessible parking available on-site at the Senior Center, which is located at 4095 Overland Avenue on the corner of Culver & Overland in Culver City. The event is planned to take place outdoors on the patio, but in the case of inclement weather will be moved indoors.
