The Culver City Julian Dixon Library will offer a free ‘flu’ shot to all those willing to roll up a sleeve and stay healthy. The clinic will be on Oct. 20, from noon to 3 p.m. at the library, 4975 Overland Ave.
Part of a program sponsored by Los Angeles County Public Health and the Los Angeles County Library, no appointments are required and proof of insurance is not needed.
County health officials are pleased to be able to continue the program, which has offered flu shots through the library for the past eight years.
It is especially important to get a flu vaccine for all of those who are 6 months through 18 years of age, are 65 years of age and older, are pregnant or just had a baby, have a weakened immune system, or have a chronic medical condition.
