CCHS Architecture Teacher Mesghali Chosen to Participate in L.A. Lakers’ Artist Showcase

Culver City High School architecture teacher Ehsaan Mesghali been chosen by the Los Angeles Lakers to take part in their “In The Paint LA Artist” showcase.

More than 250 artists submitted and Mesghali was selected to joiin a group of 15 to submit two Lakers-themed original artworks. There will also be a publication attached to the exhibit and all the work will be auctioned. The exhibit / auction will host many Lakers legends and ownership, and is being curated by BIPOC fine artist Charley Palmer.

Mesghali’s parents immigrated to the states from Iran in the late 1970s and settled in Culver City.

“Growing up, I excelled academically but I always had the most fun drawing and painting, that eventually led me towards two degrees in architecture and a career in creative direction,” he said. “Towards the end of high school and early in college, I began getting involved pretty heavily with digital design in a self-taught capacity and started offering services to people in my network and word of mouth.”


The showcase will be held at either Staples Center or Health South Training Facility, a decision the Lakers have yet to finalize.
