The city will begin work on the much discussed MOVE project this coming month, and construction will planned for a Monday to Friday workweek. The bike and bus platforms will take off the existing lane markings, and asphalt art treatments will be added to the streets.
Construction contracts have been awarded to CalStripe Inc., Crosstown Electrical and Data, Inc., and LNI Custom Manufacturing, and work will be happening along Culver and Washington Boulevard from Duquesne Avenue to La Cienega Avenue. The general area will be impacted from October 11, 2021 to November 19, 2021. One travel lane per direction will be maintained at all times, but please expect interruptions and avoid the area if possible.
Most of the work will be performed between 8:00 am through 5:00 am (next day), Monday through Friday. Intermittent weekend work is planned as well.
There will be construction noise and dust even though every effort will be made by the City and the Contractor to minimize these inconveniences.
Businesses and their access points will remain open during construction.
