The Culver City Public Works Department will convene a community meeting that will take place virtually on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at 7:00 PM regarding 5G cell sites.
Are you concerned about the safety of small cell site installations in your neighborhood? Want to learn how the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) determines the allowable level of Radio Frequency and Electromagnetic Radiation Emissions for the 5G equipment it authorizes be installed on our streets? Want to find out what how much authority the FCC gives cities to determine where 5G cell sites are placed?
After the presentation, attendees will be given the opportunity to ask questions.
To combat the spread of COVID-19, the City proclaimed a local emergency on March 14, 2020 and issued subsequent public orders beginning March 16, 2020. In accordance with such orders in-person meetings have been discontinued until further notice. Learn more about the Coronavirus and the City’s response.
