After community outreach workshops on February 4th and April 22nd this year, the City of Culver City has settled onto two design options for the proposed makeover of Media Park.
While the property straddles the border of Los Angeles and Culver City, the recent renewal of the long term lease has led to Culver City’s interest in changing the look of the park.
Draft plans posted by Culver City offer a look at two design options of the the one acre green space, the lawn enclosing the Ivy Substation, the theater known as the home of the Actors’ Gang.
The team that the city has hired on for the redesign process, led by landscape architecture firm SWA and consisting of Estolano Advisors, Cumming, LOHA, KPFF, and Toole Design, has developed two concepts for the park, both of which are intended to enhance walkability and safety. The city also looks to add native planting as landscaping, and create stormwater capture elements.

I would prefer with existing parking. I use the Disabled parking when visiting that area. The Disabled parking spots are close and easy to navigate.
