On March 9th, 2021 at approximately 7:30 PM, Culver City Police Department Officers conducted a traffic stop for two moving violations observed on a vehicle in the area of Slauson Avenue and Buckingham Parkway. After contacting the two occupants, officers developed cause to search the vehicle.
Inside the vehicle officers located one loaded and illegally possessed assault rifle along with two loaded handguns. In addition, officers discovered approximately 21 pounds of methamphetamine.
The two occupants were placed under arrest for Possession of a Controlled Substance While Armed. Officers then located at , where the occupants of the vehicle were staying. After obtaining a search warrant, the CCPD then conducted a search of a room at the Doubletree Hilton Hotel at 6161 W. Centinela Ave. which yielded an additional 61 pounds of methamphetamine.
At the conclusion of the investigation, 82 pounds of methamphetamine, one assault rifle and two handguns were booked into evidence.
