The Actors’ Gang Presents – Bobbo Supreme

Bobbo Supreme, a project created by our Artistic Director Tim Robbins, lands on October 8th on Patreon! Originally conceived as a film and adapted for a new realm of aural entertainment in pandemic times, this satire follows in the tradition of Robbins’ 1992 film, BOB ROBERTS, and The Actors’ Gang’s 2004 production of EMBEDDED with a big Actors’ Gang Ensemble footprint!

Joining Actors’ Gang Alumni and current Gang members Jack Black, VJ Foster, Patti Tippo, Steven M. Porter, Brian Finney, Jeronimo Spinx, Kaili Hollister, Brent Hinkley, Kate Mulligan, Scott Harris, Mary Eileen O’Donnell, Bob Turton, Pierre Adeli, Chas Harvey, Luis Quintana, James Bane, and Tim Robbins are Isla Fisher, Alfre Woodard, Ted Levine, Ray Wise, Patton Oswalt, Rita Brent, Haley Joel Osment, Kerry Kenney-Silver, Tom Lennon, Riki Lindhome, Maribeth Monroe, Sasheer Zamata, to bring the circus-like atmosphere of President Bobbo Supreme’s White House to life. With original music by David Robbins and songs by the Robbins brothers.

President Bobbo Supreme is an infantile, narcissistic lounge singer, game show hosting,, narcoleptic racist; an unhinged id running for reelection and unwilling to cede power if he loses. The billionaire recording artist and leader of the free world is in the final push of his re-election campaign. Tortured by periodic dreams that range from glorious fantasies of his prowess as an athlete to nightmares of utter failure, President Supreme struggles to maintain a grip on reality. As the Election Day gets closer, chaos erupts throughout the country as right wing militias, aligned with the White House, clash with protestors. This satire is fast, funny, irreverent, and made for this moment in American history.
