West Basin Water Will Record and Post Meetings

Saving water is important to our entire landscape; saving the information on how we save water may be equally important. On the board of the West Basin Water District, Water Policy and Legislation Committee Chair Scott Houston passed a motion that he’s been considering since his election in 2014, to record and post video of the district’s public meetings.

“Our meetings have always been open to the public – but we have a very big district, and you have to come to our offices… the West Basin board of directors unanimously supported my two motions to record and post video of our district’s public meetings that will ensure transparency in the operations and oversight of our water district.” The meeting on September 28, 2020 saw the agreement made, and now the board must being putting the technology in place that will allow the public easy access to the information

Houston has long felt that transparency should be a priority.”Members of the public should be able to watch our meetings live or view them later as we conduct the public’s business.”

When and how to access the meetings will be made available as soon as West Basin makes the announcement.
