“Due to the issues with the state’s electronic laboratory system, these data represent an underreporting of actual positive cases in one single day.” The California COVID-19 board does not offer good news. The county has reported 4,758 coronavirus deaths and 195,614 confirmed cases as of August 5. That puts LA County on track to pass 200,000 cases before the end of the week.
