Coronavirus Infections Continue to Rise – Tech Issues Create Data Challenges

“Due to the issues with the state’s electronic laboratory system, these data represent an underreporting of actual positive cases in one single day.” The California COVID-19 board does not offer good news. The challenges involved in getting accurate data from the state have highlighted a significant issue with the pandemic; we know that there are more infections than we know we already have. Whether the underreporting is small or large, statistics have yet to be available.

What we do know is that there are 326 coronavirus cases and 29 deaths reported in Culver City as of  August 5, 2020, according to Los Angeles County.

The county has reported 4,758 coronavirus deaths and 195,614 confirmed cases as of August 5. That puts LA County on track to pass 200,000 cases before the end of the week.

Wash Your Hands. Even better – mask up. Best – stay home.
