Suspects in a carjacking incident have been taken into custody by the Los Angeles Police Department, and placed under arrest by the Culver City Police Department.
On August 3rd, at approximately 7:00 am, the victim was sitting in his vehicle which was parked in the 4300 block of McConnell Avenue. Suspect #1 approached the victim and forcibly removed him from the vehicle causing him to land on the pavement. Once on the pavement, Suspect #1 began to punch and kick the victim. During the struggle, Suspect #1 brandished a knife at the victim and demanded his vehicle. Suspects #1, #2, and #3 then entered the victim’s vehicle and drove away in an unknown direction.
On August 3rd, at approximately 2040 hours, LAPD Officers assigned to Devonshire Division located the stolen vehicle in the city of North Hills. The stolen vehicle was occupied by two female juvenile suspects, who were taken into custody without incident. Culver City Police Department Detectives responded to the scene and the suspects were placed under arrest for PC 215 (Carjacking). The stolen vehicle was returned to its rightful owner.
