In August 2019, Culver City implemented interim rent control and tenant protection measures for a 12-month period. On July 16, the City Council extended the current interim rent control and tenant protection measures through October 31, 2020, in order to give the City Council time to consider and potentially adopt a permanent rent control and tenant protection program.

All Interim Rent Control and Tenant Protections Measures will remain in place through October 31, 2020.
All Rent Registration Certificates have been extended through at least October 31, 2020.

The City Council will hold a special meeting on Monday, August 17 at 7:00 PM in order to continue its discussion of the components of a permanent rent control and tenant protection program.

The meeting will take place virtually, and registration will be required in order to participate in the meeting. Instructions on how to register, participate, and submit comments for virtual meetings are available online.

Registration for the August 17th meeting will open closer to the meeting date.

The meeting agenda and staff report for the meeting will be posted when available, closer to the meeting date.
