The Park-to Playa Trail comes closer to completion with the construction of new bridge segments placed over La Cienega Blvd over the past weekend. Construction of the 440-foot overpass requires three consecutive weekend closures of La Cienega between Stocker Street and Obama Boulevard. Additional closures are planned from June 19-22 and June 26-29.
While the focus is to create a park that can be enjoyed by walkers and bikers, the bridge will also be lined with native landscaping to help acclimatize wildlife living in the two parks.
The project is scheduled for completion in Fall of 2020.
