Vera to Host Food Truck @ Farragut Elementary

For the past several weeks, Albert Vera of Sorrento’s Market has been hosting a food truck for both free meals and to raise funds for more. Tonight, he will do it again. Farragut Elementary School will have a food truck to serve hot meals to all from 5:30 to 6:30 pm on April 30, 2020.

Vera posted online that “Donations are welcome but not expected. All donations will benefit the Culver City Backpacks for Kids program.”

The ‘Backpacks’ program, which has traditionally given families food to take home for the weekend, has expanded to include groceries for the week, now that our schools are closed.

With a total of 300 meals served last week, The Shake Ramen truck has seen a lot of noodles going out. Vera offered that next week, there would be a new truck from a local Culver City source.
