National Institute of Health Seeks Volunteers for Covid-19 Study

The NIH is recruiting 10,000 volunteers for a COVID-19 antibodies prevalence study. This article about it contains a link to apply to participate. If you are a study participant, you’ll be sent a small kit to procure a blood sample by a finger prick. Send the sample back and, voila, you’ve made an important contribution to science.
To volunteer, send an email to: [email protected]. Be patient; a spokesperson says it may take some time (days to weeks) to hear back after volunteering.

Here’s the NIH Fact Sheet on the study. https://www.niaid.nih.gov/news-events/nih-begins-study-quantify-undetected-cases-coronavirus-infection#qa-section

If you know people in ethnically diverse communities, or people whose life circumstances are more or less affluent than yours, invite them to participate as well. It’s important for the NIH to recruit a diverse and representative group of volunteers.
