50th Anniversary of Earth Day Celebration at the Culver City Democratic Club “Virtual Meeting”

The next meeting of the Culver City Democratic Club will address ‘The Climate Crisis in the Era of the COVID-19 + Q&A’

The CCDC will be having one of the most respected California Democratic Party Chairs, RL Miller of the Environmental Caucus (which grew from 60 to 600 under her as chair), as our keynote speaker at our first virtual membership meeting. RL Miller founded Climate Hawks Vote to build grassroots political power for the climate movement. As our meeting title implies, she’ll give us the scoop on how these things are intertwined and what we can do to help save the world.

Plus: Patricia McPherson, President, Grassroots Coalition, Sierra Club; 20 years in public health and safety issues revolving around the oil/gas industry & protection of habitat pertaining to Ballona Wetlands. Topic: The Protection of Ballona Wetlands Ecological Reserve–Stopping the Big Dig!

The meeting will take place Wednesday, April 22, 2020, at 7 pm. If you would like to participate in this online meeting, RSVP by email to Club President Pete Rockwell to get on the invitation list as soon as possible.
