Mitchell Endorsed by Leading Environmental Organizations

With the election one solid month away, State Senator Holly Mitchell has received endorsements from  the California League of Conservation Voters, Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters and the Sierra Club.  Mitchell remarked, “Having worked closely with each of these organizations to create and pass legislation that protects our natural resources and the health of our communities, it is an honor to receive this level of support from the environmental justice community.”

Her work a the state level on environmental concerns has given her a score of 100% on the California Environmental Scorecard, with ‘yes’ votes on banning styrofoam containers and the Public Lands Protection Act. Mitchell offered “We must continue to work together to meet the unique environmental needs of the Second Supervisorial District. This includes safeguarding neighborhoods that are near the largest oil field in the country, protecting the Ballona Wetlands, and expanding parks and green spaces to underserved communities. Achieving this, along with actualizing our bold vision of a Fossil Fuel Free LA County, are a few of the key environmental priorities I am committed to achieving as a County Supervisor.”
