Deconstructing Racism – January 11

Deconstructing Racism: Unearthing the Roots of our Educational System is an interactive panel discussion, with the intention of elevating awareness and promoting dialogue regarding race, culture, and ethnicity  in our schools.

The discussion will expose and address the impact of implicit bias on decision-making affecting outcomes of students of color disproportionately to their white peers, and will demonstrate how and why institutional racism exists. It will offer solutions for its deconstruction and transformation.
