Greetings!/¡Bienvenidos! Get your ‘aspiring to be bilingual’ self to the conversation on Thursday evenings at Co+Opportunity Market and Deli, 8770 Washington Blvd., Culver City, CA 90232
Who are we?: We are a group of (mostly) native English and Spanish speakers who come together weekly to practice speaking English and Spanish. Our attendees come from all over the world, and represent all ages and levels of speaking ability in both (or more!) languages.
¿Quienes Somos?: En su mayoría, somos hablantes nativos de inglés y español y nos encontramos semanalmente para practicar hablando inglés y español. Venimos de todas partes del mundo y representamos todas las edades y cada uno de los niveles de habilidad en ambos idiomas (¡o más!) que hablamos.
Meeting Format: When you arrive, grab a name tag, and write your name and which language you want to practice (“Español” or “English”). Next, find language partners or groups. You can decide your own language rules between your partners or groups.
Here are some suggestions that have proven successful in the past:
– Alternating between all English and all Spanish
– A bilingual conversation with each party only speaking his/her non-native language (speaking practice)
– A bilingual conversation with each party only speaking his/her native language (listening practice)

Drive down to the second level, turn left and left again, driving to the back of the lot. Park by the large elevator in the back (next to the giant sandwich sign).
The elevator will bring you right into the produce department of the store!
