Rosamund’s Choice – WLAC Fine Arts Gallery

A mini Rosamund Felsen Gallery will be on display from November 7 – December 20 at the Fine Arts Gallery at picturesque West Los Angeles College overlooking Culver City. The show – Rosamund’s Choice – is co-curated by Rosamund Felsen and Molly Barnes. Felsen is the co-founder of the Gemini Print Workshop and the founder of the afore mentioned Rosemund Felsen Gallery, one of the longest-running art galleries in Los Angeles. Over her long career, Felsen was involved in and influenced the broader American art community. She has represented key California artists at crucial points in their careers including: Chris Burden, Paul McCarthy, Mike Kelley, Lari Pittman, Karen Carson, Jason Rhoades and many others. While technically not part of the show, visitors will see War Baby on the walk into the gallery. This large aluminum sculpture is by Guy Dill, one of the first artists Felsen ever showed.

A public reception will be held Thursday, November 7 from 5:00 – 8:00pm in the gallery. There is no charge for admission. Parking is available in the adjacent Parking Structure for $2.00 (exact change needed).

Featured artists include Les Biller, Ruth Greene, Steven Hull, Jean Lowe, Kim MacConnel, Grant Mudford and C.K. Wilde. Co-curator Barnes is a well-known art dealer and broadcaster. As Artist in Residence at the college, she coordinates the WLAC Gallery exhibits and lectures throughout the year which are open to the public. Gallery hours are Monday – Thursday from 11:00am – 4:00pm in the Fall and Spring. Call for hours during the winter and summer sessions.
