Culver City Wants to Hear from Renters

Old key with tag on black stone surface. Concept of real estate rent.

On August 12, 2019 interim rent control measures went into effect for a 12-month period in Culver City. The interim rent control measures include a 3% rent cap on certain rental units, required “for cause” and “no-fault” grounds for evictions, and relocation assistance payments. From now until August 2020, the City Council will study whether these and/or other rent control measures should become permanent.

Are you a tenant who has been affected by the program?
Are you a landlord who has suggestions for how to improve the program?
How can we strengthen and improve the program to ensure fairness for tenants and landlords alike?

The city wants to hear your comments and suggestions on the program. Post your thoughts on the City’s Interim Rent Control web page, or email them to the Housing Division. Additional opportunities for public input are planned for the future. Subscribe to email updates from the city on this issue in order to be notified.
