Walking Tour of ‘Culver City at a Crossroads’ to be Hosted by LA Conservancy

Explore the history of Culver City! This special event includes a self-paced tour of 20 historic sites, an exclusive mini-tour of Helms Bakery District, and access to the Robert Frost Auditorium at Culver City High School. Registration also includes admission to two presentations and discounts at local restaurants.

You’ll stroll through the heart of Culver City at your own pace, visiting historic sites in any order you choose. Our knowledgeable docents will be on hand at tour sites to provide historical information.

Culver Hotel 
Upon its opening in 1924, local press dubbed the flatiron-shaped building a “skyscraper” – its six stories visible from miles around.

Helms Bakery District 
This former bakery is now a mixed-use complex that is home to specialty shops, furniture stores, restaurants, and more. Take an exclusive 30-minute tour of the complex and see how the site’s history lives on today. Tours begin every half hour from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Robert Frost Auditorium, Culver City High School
This futuristic auditorium is one of the most breathtaking Modern buildings ever designed. Access to the auditorium’s interior is available between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Wende Museum
Free admission! Visit on your own, or take a guided tour with a Wende Museum docent at 1 or 3 p.m. Museum hours 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
