Dear Editor,
Culver City’s Fraud, Waste and Abuse (FWA) Hotline is scheduled for full operation in September 2019. Culver City has contracted with Lighthouse Services to maintain an independent and anonymous FWA hotline. Currently, one may report FWA at: https://www.culvercity.org/how-do-i/report/report-fraud-waste-and-abuse-of-city-resources .
We await the FWA Hotline roll-out where all Culver City residents and staff are fully informed about its existence, staff is trained to spot the tell-tale signs of FWA and perpetrators, if any, are prosecuted.
If you see something, you can now anonymously say something. Culver City residents and staff should not sit on their hands. The days should be over and gone where staff expends: more than $4,000 for lunches, $2,700 for ice-cream parties, hundreds for yoga lessons supposedly to build morale, thousands for extravagant and very portable electronic equipment, and hundreds for personal traffic violations and tolls. Enough is enough.
