In collaboration with the Gazelle Samizay, an Iranian-American artist currently exhibiting at the Craft Contemporary Museum, students in the AVPA Visual Art department learned about still photography and video techniques. They applied their instruction to the creation of personal narratives in response to the prompt; “What does it mean to be an American?” Students engaged in processes of story boarding, script writing, still photography and video editing, including learning about titles, transitions, introduction and manipulation of sound and voice overs.
Please join them in celebrating their work at a reception at the Craft Contemporary Museum on Saturday, April 20 from 2-5pm.
