MCLM to Present Music @ The Wende – Kamau Daaood and A Band of Griots

Two of Culver City’s world class museums unite to present an unforgettable evening. Friday March 1, the ‘Music at the Wende’ series collaborates with the Mayme Clayton Library and Museum to offer  Kamau Daáood and A Band of Griots: “Through Walls of Thought and Feeling”

Museum tour and reception will begin at 7 pm, and the concert will begin at 8 pm. Kamau Daaood is mythic figure in the Southern California arts scene, Kamau Daáood is a performance poet, educator and community arts activist who is widely acknowledged as a major driving force behind Los Angeles’ black cultural renaissance. Now with the release of his debut album, Leimert Park, Kamau unleashes his galvanizing spirit on the world.
