Unity of the Westside, the church on Barman Avenue across from Vets Park, has sustained fire damage and is – for the time being – closed.
“There is a lot of smoke damage throughout the entire building, but the only room that is damaged by the fire is the Prayer Haven room,” according to Zabrina Horton, who has put up a GoFundMe campaign “Due to the smoke and ashes in the air, no one is allowed to enter the building until everything is cleaned up by the professional team sent by the insurance company”
