The Culver City Unified School District had another amazing Walk to School Day on Wednesday, October 10. More than 1,000 kids participated in events throughout Culver City, collectively burning more than 10,000 calories and removing more than 250 pounds of carbon from the air! It just shows how a little effort and a lot of teamwork can go a long way.
All schools participated, although the event at El Marino was held on another day, and everyone had a blast.
Don’t feel like you have to wait for an official event – every day can be walk to school day. Getting in a few minutes of exercise in the morning is a great for your brain, and taking the time to talk to friends and neighbors on the way to school is just good for the soul. It is awesome to see the city and school district working together to improve safety for all our kids.
