Fill the Boot – CCFD Raises Funds for Muscular Dystrophy

On May 23 and 25, off-duty Culver City Firefighters will be stationed at the intersection of Overland and Jefferson from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. to raise funds for the local chapter of the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA).

MDA is an organization dedicated to finding a cure for muscular dystrophy, ALS, as well as other related diseases. Fill the Boot is an event that collects proceeds to benefit MDA’s programs including clinics, summer camps, and fundraising scientific research.

Firefighters across the nation participate in Fill the Boot programs. Last year, firefighters raised over $24 million to provide help and hope for those living with a neuromuscular disease.

The Muscular Dystrophy Association and the Culver City Fire Department would like to thank the community for their support!
