2017 Western State Conference Relays @ WLAC Postponed – New Date Feb. 24

Next Friday, February 24, the West Los Angeles College Wildcats begin their quest for the Western State Conference titles in Track & Field at West LA.

Originally scheduled for FEb. 17, the meet has been postponed due to rain.

The Wildcats are led by sophomores Alexis Henry and Reagan Andrews who were members of the 2016 Junior College Track and Field All-America team. The pair, along with many other talented teammates (including 7 state championship meet participants from a year ago) are well poised for another championship run. West features a balanced squad with All-American hopefuls in each of the five event areas including the sprints, hurdles, jumps, throws and distance events.

The Western State Conference was established in 1950 which makes it the oldest community college conference in California. The Conference is committed to academic excellence, along with community responsibility through athletic participation. It has been our intention to offer a variety of sports maintaining equitable competitive balance within a reasonable geographic area.

Rain or Shine – Competing teams include Glendale, Moorpark, College of the Canyons,
Santa Barbara, Bakersfield, Ventura, Antelope Valley, Cuesta, Allan Hancock, and Santa Monica.
