This month Black Talkies on Parade celebrates the life and music of Bob Marley with a screening of the 2012 documentary, Marley. Directed by Kevin MacDonald, the film uses rare footage to document Marley’s life as a legendary musician who brought reggae to the forefront of music. The film includes interviews with Marley’s close friends and associates, along with concert footage. The film also documents the Rastafari movement and its influence on Marley’s music.
If you have never been to the Mayme Clayton, it’s a very easy walk from Fiesta La Ballona, and you owe it to yourself to get to know this amazing resource in Culver City.
Your afternoon host will be Lloyd Clayton, Executive Director. Following the screening there will be a Q&A and discussion led by our resident film historian Les Wills.
Screening is FREE!
