In celebration of Halloween Black Talkies On Parade presents the cult classic Blacula, directed by William Crain. This modern take on Bram Stoker’s Dracula presents the story in a very chilling and inventive way. Blacula is the story of Manuwalde (William Marshall), an African Prince in 1780, who, after visiting Count Dracula, is turned into a vampire and locked in a coffin for nearly two centuries. In 1972 when two antique collectors transport the coffin to Los Angeles they open the coffin and unleash Blacula on the city of Los Angeles. Blacula soon finds Tina, played by Vonetta McGee, and believes she is his wife, Luva, reincarnated. Blacula gains her love, but also gains the interest of an unlikely pair of vampire hunters who are hot in pursuit on his trail.
