Jeff Penso, M.D. will update the walkers on the epidemic of Type 2 Diabetes, a disease that affects one out of twelve Americans.
As Americans grow in age, and weight, Type 2 Diabetes becomes a potential or real health issue for more of us. Diabetes now consumes 14 per cent of our nation’s hefty health budget. Many of us don’t even suspect we have the disease. How do we know if we or our family members are at risk for Type 2 Diabetes? What are possible complications?
As we know, diabetes can be treated. And with prompt detection, it can be prevented, reversed and complications avoided too.
