The Peace Project currently has a rebuilding initiative on Bantayan Island in the Philippines where over 65% of all homes were destroyed by Super Typhoon Yolanda. We’re currently on the ground working on our first community.
We’re inviting all creatives to help fund this effort to rebuild the Philippines…and get some cool in return — a windchime that you’ve made yourself!
On Saturday, August 16, we’ll host another workshop at our gallery, The Whole 9 Gallery, where participants will wind chimes utilizing debris from houses that were destroyed by the Typhoon including corrugated tin that has already been cut, wood, plus beads and bells.
The windchimes will help rebuild Santa Fe on Bantayan Island and prove that the most powerful wind is no match for creativity and the human spirit.
Participants can either keep their windchimes or donate them to be sold at Anchor’s Away, a fundraiser to take place on August 23rd.
The $20 donation reserves your spot and covers materials. You are also welcome to bring other materials to include in your chime.
August 16 10 am to 1 pm – $20.00
