Safe Routes to School Needs Your Signature (Right Now)

090324_cap_and_tradeSupport Cap and Trade Funding for Active Transportation!
The Governor’s 2014-15 budget proposal includes $850 million in Cap-and-Trade funding to programs that reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The largest share of this new revenue is earmarked for transportation programs, but none of that funding is allocated to the new Active Transportation Program to support investments in walking and bicycling this year. We propose allocating $50 million a year from the Cap and Trade program to the Active Transportation Program!
