Bond Measure on the Agenda at Feb. 25 School Board Meeting @ El Rincon

school_bond_imageAt its February 25 meeting, the CCUSD Board of Education will discuss a resolution that calls for a facilities bond and the associated language to be placed on the June ballot.

In recent months, the District conducted a comprehensive needs assessment and sought extensive community input regarding the current state of our schools and facilities. As such, the District recognized it must make urgent repairs and upgrades to the classrooms, labs, and libraries. In order to do this, the District will consider placing a bond measure on the June 2014 ballot.

A potential bond measure would provide CCUSD with the funding needed to make critical safety improvements to our schools and prepare our students for future success. A bond measure would also mean:

Local Funds Under Local Control
Complete Repairs at Aging Schools to Keep our Students Safe
Classroom, Lab, and Technology Upgrades to Provide a 21st Century Education

The public is encouraged to attend this important Board of Education meeting, which will be held at 7 p.m. at El Rincon Elementary School, 11177 Overland Ave., in Culver City.
