Feng Shui for the New Year – Janet Mitsui Brown

The solar Chinese New Year used in feng shui starts February 4, and the lunar Chinese New Year, the traditional Chinese New Year, begins January 31 this year – and both dates signify a new beginning. the year of the Wood Horse!

The solar new year – traditionally February 4/5th, is the date used in Chinese astrology four pillars – Chinese fortune telling & compass school flying star feng shui. On the New Year there are significant energy shifts based on mathematical calculations based on time, direction, space, and moon & sun influences. Masters from China calculate these numbers & convey to us positive/negative directions requiring annual cures. As you see, the energy is shifting, and the Horse is at the opening gates.

The lunar Chinese New Year, this year January 31st — is the spring festival, marking the end of the winter season. It is traditional to clean the house of ill fortune & to eat certain foods for good luck (noodles for long life, melon for health, oranges for prosperity). In Black Hat Sect feng shui, practitioners customarily mark this date with transcendental cures to highlight the New Year.

When you combine knowledge – dimensions of time & space (compass school) and secrets of Taoist feng shui’s (Black Sect Tantric Buddhist school) very powerful mental techniques, you have the ability to improve your presence in the environment & ride the gentle flow of life with a full and prosperous heart.

For 2014, the Year of the Horse.

The Horse is associated with fire – and Wood helps fire burn to last. If your business involves wood, fire and earth you will do well this year.
The Chinese animal who will be most challenged is the Rat.
On the plus side, the Sheep/Ram is the protector of the Year Horse and will have moderate good luck. The Tiger and Dog are special friends of the Horse and will enjoy good luck.

For the solar new year:
This year the SOUTH produces money, luck, fame & celebration according to Compass School calculations. To enhance it add fire. Water puts out fire, so be careful of water use or you will put out the flame.
The Black Hat Sect school believes 2014 favors the east and west directions.

For the lunar new year:
From the Black Sect Tantric tradition if appropriate transcendental cures — in particular the Golden Cicada — are performed, negative influences arising can be offset or averted. This is especially true for those born in the year of the Horse, the Ox the Rat, the Hare and the Rooster. Contact me and I can help.

The late H.H. Grandmaster Lin Yun and current H.H. Khadro Crystal Chu Rinpoche recommend the practice of following transcendental cures for the year.
