Culver City Parks, Recreation & Community Services Department Enrichment Class student Elizabeth Rao was presented her Sho-Dan (1st Degree Black Belt) rank by Chief Instructor John Heyl during the Shotokan Karate-Do Class’s annual Beach Training at Dockweiler Beach, October 5th 2013.
Ms. Rao is a dedicated academic student, making time not only for her study of Japanese Shotokan Karate-Do but also European Fencing.
