Over the course of her life, a woman will experience many rites of passage. One of the most significant is the transition from childhood to womanhood, represented by a Sweet 16 Party. Vox Femina Los Angeles is celebrating this landmark in the third and final concert of its 16th season: It’s Our Party! A Sweet/Sassy 16 Party.
This event, which includes Vox singers in full 1960s regalia, will be held Saturday, June 15 at 8 p.m. at Zipper Concert Hall, The Colburn School (200 S. Grand Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90012). The final concert of the choir’s 16th season is a coming of age celebration to commemorate 16 years of women in music. Join the party as Vox leads audience members on a musical excursion back to the era of girl groups, ponytails, poodle skirts and everything in between!
