Social Dreaming – Beyond Whiteness @ Antioch University

What is whiteness? How does racial stereotyping and privilege affect our views of the world? Are you willing to step into another perspective if that means giving up your assumptions of privilege or identity? How can we foster real diversity ? Join the Spiritual and Depth Psychology Specialization and the AULA Diversity Committee at this community social dreaming exercise that will help guide the University’s approach in future curriculum development that is increasingly sensitive to diversity.

Combining contemporary psychoanalytic and ancient shamanic views of the transformative power of dreams, this Friday evening gathering will allow for a first round of social dreaming. The following day, Saturday, dreams may be shared from the previous night which might particularly resonate to the powerful theme of this community event.

Facilitated by George Bermudez, PhD and Matthew Silverstein, PhD, this workshop offers 6 CEUs for LMFT and LCSW professionals. Held on the AULA campus, this event is free and open to the public but RSVPs are requested to: [email protected]
