Plastic Bag Policy Seeking Your Input

You have things to say about Culver City’s Plastic Bag Ban?  Your moment (or moments – there is more than one opportunity) is about to arrive.

You are invited to come to an upcoming meeting to learn about the proposed Single-Use Carryout Bag Ordinance and to provide your feedback. Tuesday, April 16 from 10:45 am to 11:15 am at the Senior Center, 4095 Overland Avenue and Saturday, April 20 from 11am to 11:30am in the Patacchia Room, 1st Floor, City Hall, 9770 Culver Boulevard.

The City Council has directed staff to draft a Single-Use Carryout Bag Ordinance. The proposed Ordinance will ban single-use plastic carryout bags and require a minimum $0.10 per bag charge for single-use carryout paper bags at covered stores. Please join us at one of two meetings to discuss this proposal. At both meetings, there will be a brief presentation by City staff followed by time for the community to ask questions and provide input.

More information is available on the City’s website (click the box in the lower right side of this page)  or by contacting the staff, Helen Kerstein, at [email protected] or (310) 253-5618
