Culver City Rotary Club will be recognizing excellent citizens and outstanding Community Heroes for 2013. Mike Cohen, Mr. Culver City, and the Culver City Education Foundation will be recognized for their many years of service and support to the local schools and a wide variety of community activities.
“Follow the Yellow brick Road to Service and Friendship” will be Friday, March 22, from 6:30 – 9:30 p.m. at the Culver City Senior Center, 4095 Overland Avenue, Culver City. Since hundreds of movies have been made in Culver City those attending are encouraged to dress in their favorite made in Culver City movie or television character. This year the event will travel to Emerald City so green will be the color of the evening. Wear green for a special drawing ticket!
Funds raised by the event will benefit the Culver City Teen Center Computer Lab, Culver City Education Foundation for Classroom Technology, Rotary’s End Polio Now Initiative and the Culver City Rotary Community Foundation.
Yellow Brick Plaques for $100 will be added to the Donor Wall at the Teen Center. Funds will provide and replace much needed computers and equipment.
Those who support Culver City are encouraged to participate in every way that is of interest to them while benefiting and enriching the community.
