Red Car Trolley presents music spanning five centuries in a concert entitled “Birds, Buds, and Beatles” which showcases the group’s versatility and joyful love of music-making. The program includes music ranging from familiar classic composers like Brahms and Mozart to more contemporary songwriters such as Simon and McCartney. Also included is the World Premiere of “Song of The Flower” written by LA-based composer William Malpede and inspired by the poetry of Kahlil Gibran. Guest Organist Barbara Trevino joins RCT for the performance.
Red Car Trolley is a Los-Angeles-based vocal quartet that performs a wide range of music; from Renaissance to jazz, from classical to contemporary. They sing for weddings, memorials, fundraisers, and concerts, but most of all, for the sheer pleasure of it. The ensemble’s credits include soloist and ensemble work at Los Angeles area churches and synagogues, opera, musical theatre, studio recordings and television. They are: Soprano – Rebecca Rasmussen, Alto – Jennifer Appleberry, Tenor – Brian Dyer, Bass – Norge Yip.
