Crime Blotter for October 16th through the 22nd.
Residential Burglary:
On October 17, 2012 at 8:21 pm, officers responded to the 3900 block of Tilden Avenue regarding a burglary investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them the following; he said his roommate locked and secured the residence at 8:45 am, and when he returned at 6:40 pm discovered his garage was unlocked and his property missing.
Residential Burglary:
On October 18, 2012 at 2:55 pm, officers responded to the 3900 block of Midway Avenue regarding a burglary investigation. The officers met with the victims who told them the following; he said he and his wife left their residence locked and secured at 12:30 pm. When they returned at 2:45 pm they discovered their back door had been opened and their property missing.
Vandalism;
On October 19, 2012 at 1:50 pm, officers responded to the 4200 block of Baldwin Avenue regarding a vandalism investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them the following; he was driving his 2008 Toyota down the block when a suspect throws an unknown object at his car. The object hit his car causing damage to the driver side quarter panel.
Commercial Robbery:
On October 20, 2012 at 9:10 pm, officers responded to the 5700 block of Washington Boulevard regarding a robbery investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them the following; she was working behind the counter when the armed suspect entered the location and demanded the money. Fearing for her safety, she opened the cash register and the suspect took the currency. The suspect was described as a male Black, 5’7, wearing a black hat with a “T” insignia.
Stolen Vehicle:
On October 21, 2012 at 7:50 pm, officers responded to the 6000 block of Sepulveda Boulevard regarding a stolen vehicle investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them the following; he parked and locked his 1996 Honda at 10:45 am. When he returned at 7:45 pm his vehicle was missing.
