By now, you must have received the Secretary of State’s Voter Information Guide for the November 6 Presidential Election: 144 dense pages devoted mostly to the eleven statewide propositions that will be on your ballot.
The League of Women Voters is committed to helping citizens make informed decisions on ballot measures, and to that end LWV’s Culver City Unit is devoting our October 16 meeting to an impartial presentation (aka ‘Pros AND Cons’) on the ballot measures. Fran Lapides, Voter Service Director of LWV Los Angeles, will be the guest speaker.
Members will gather in the Community Room of Culver City Julian Dixon Public Library at 11:30 for brown-bag lunch, sociability, and a bit of business. Program starts promptly at noon and should be done by 1:30. If you can’t stay for the whole thing, feel free to leave early.
Overflow parking is available next door in the Adult School / L.A. Goal lot. Better yet, take the Culver City Bus (Crosstown Route 3) or use the right-next-door bike path. (Bike rack available to lock up in front of the library.)
