Crime Blotter for August 21st through august 27th.
Attempt Robbery:
On August 21, 2012 at 5:30 pm, officers responded to the 6000 block of Sepulveda Boulevard regarding an attempt robbery investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them the following; he was texting on his cell phone when he was approached by three male suspects. Suspect I attempted to grab his phone but he was able to fend off the suspect. The suspects then fled the area. The suspects were described as male Blacks, 18-21 years of age all wearing dark clothing.
Car Burglary:
On August 23, 2012 at 4:30 pm, a victim called the police department to report his 2007 Cadillac was burglarized. The victim said he parked and locked his vehicle n the 13400 block of Washington Boulevard at 6:00 am. When he returned 7:30 pm, he discovered his driver’s door open and his property missing.
Street Robbery:
On August 23, 2012 at 6:30 pm, officers responded to the Sepulveda Boulevard and the 405 Freeway overpass regarding a robbery investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them the following; he was walking when he was approached by three suspects and they stopped him and told him to empty his pockets. Fearing for his safety he attempted to flee but was pushed to ground and the suspects took his property. The suspects then fled the location. The suspects were described as three male Blacks, 17-21 years of age and all were 150-160 lbs.
Theft of Bicycle:
On August 23, 2012 at 10:55 pm, a victim called the police department to report her bicycle had been stolen. The victim said she last saw her bicycle in her garage at 11:00 pm in the 4200 block of Mildred Avenue. When she returned the next morning her bicycle was missing.
Commercial Burglary:
On August 27, 2012 at 9:32 am, officers responded to the 5800 block of Mesmer Avenue regarding a burglary investigation. The officers met with the reporting party who told them the following; he said he had locked and secured the location on August 23, 2012 at 10:00 am. When he returned on the 27th at 8:00 am he discovered the door had been forced open and some property missing.
