After 50 years of doing business the old-fashioned way ( and quite successfully at that) the Culver City Community Scholarship Fund has launched its website, www.cccommunityscholarships.org.
“The website provides students with a new way to complete the applications; provides teachers and staff a better, more modern way of completing recommendations; gives parents valuable information they need in order to help their graduating child; and offers the community and various organizations the opportunity to donate funds to these students,” said Co-President Lelah Pealer.
Student applicants can download, fill out and print the scholarship instructions and application forms directly from the site. They can also access the calendar of due dates. The site also has information about the organization and a partial list of donors.
“CCUSD strives to ensure that our students are prepared to be global citizens of the 21st century,” said Margaret Fujisawa, co-president of the Fund. “I am thrilled we are moving forward to launch our website.”
The Culver City Community Scholarship Fund, a 501c3 nonprofit organization, seeks out and maintains funds to be given as scholarships to graduating seniors from Culver City High School and Culver Park High School. The fund celebrates its 50th anniversary this year. To donate, contact Margaret Fujisawa at (310) 842 4220, extension 3558 or email [email protected].
