Celebrate the season of goodwill at the annual Downtown Culver City Lighting of the Holiday Tree Ceremony, presented by the Downtown Business Association, City of Culver City and Culver City Redevelopment Agency on Thursday, December 1st at 6pm.
See Santa Claus as he makes a very special visit all the way from the North Pole. Special performances include the Linwood E. Howe Elementary School Choir and the Culver City High School AVPA Chamber Singers, as well as appearances by Mayor O’Leary and city council members. There will also be hot cider, hot cocoa and other festive treats to make everyone feel merry. Culver City makes this holiday celebration “green” and energy efficient, lighting a 22-foot artificial tree with LED lights.
Stay afterwards for dinner at one of Downtown Culver City’s many restaurants, or take a stroll down the boulevards. Culver City’s downtown area is Southern California’s best kept secret, featuring a wonderful mix of historic buildings, boutiques, theaters, galleries, and unique restaurants opening on to tree-lined streets.
