Crime Blotter for August 16th through August 22nd.
Stolen Car:
On August 16, 2011 at 8:20 pm, a victim called the police department to report his 1993 Honda was stolen. The victim said he parked and locked his vehicle in the 3400 block of Helms Avenue on August 15, 2011 at 12:00 pm. He returned the next day at 10:00 am and discovered his vehicle missing.
Commercial Burglary:
On August 17, 2011 at 8:50 am, officers responded to the 8000 block of Washington Boulevard regarding a burglary investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them the following; he said he locked and secured the business at 6:30 on August 16th, he said he received a call from his alarm company at 8:30 pm of activation. His manager responded to the location and found no signs of a burglary. The victim returned the next day at 7:30 am and discovered one of his company vehicles was missing.
Battery:
On August 17, 2011 at 12:08 pm, officers responded to the 4100 block of Wade Street regarding a battery investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them the following; he was near the park when he was approached by the suspect, who asked him a question regarding his sunglasses. The suspect then used both hands and pushed the victim to the ground and fled the location.
Vandalism:
On August 17, 2011 at 8:20 pm, a victim came to the police department to report her vehicle was vandalized. The victim said she parked and locked her 2003 Infiniti in the 5600 block of Windsor Way on August 15. When she returned on August 16th she discovered unknown suspect(s) had keyed her vehicle.
Auto Burglary:
On August 18, 2011 at 3:34 pm, a victim called the police department to report his 2004 Chevrolet had been burglarized. The victim said he parked and locked his vehicle in the 13400 block of Washington Boulevard at 3:05 pm and when he returned at 3:20 pm and discovered his vehicle’s left rear window smashed and his property missing.
Auto Burglary:
On August 20, 2011 at 11:20 pm, a victim called the police department to report her 2006 Jeep Commander had been burglarized. The victim said she parked and locked her vehicle in the 9300 block of Jefferson Boulevard at 6:30 pm. When she returned at 11:00 pm, she discovered her rear passenger window was smashed out and her property was missing.
